It was designed for the White Star Line and highlights the grandeur of the Titanic alongside its sister ship, the RMS Olympic. Following the tragic sinking of the Titanic on April 15, 1912, the White Star Line made the decision to recall and destroy as many of these posters as possible, fearing the association with the disaster.
